People actually think they will get bored without their phones.
Actually, when we use time mindfully, we can entertain ourselves and attain joy.

Nowadays what people do is, when they feel stressed a little they take their phone out.
Fall into their social media accounts and start scrolling.
That instant gratification they get feels like they are stress-free. But the mind does it for dopamine and it’s never gonna feel satisfying.
It’s only instant gratification. Addicted to that feeling makes us impatience for true success or happiness.
To attain satisfaction and true happiness we have to get rid of our screens. And do activities that really improve our mental health and make us feel good.

Why is it important to have screen-free activities as an adult?

Don’t consider your screen time as your time to enjoy. That’s not the thing that you wish you could always do.

When is the last time you have your “Me time”? Don’t excuse yourself. I don’t find the time!
You can find enough time when you put all your screen off.
It’s important to make time for yourself every day.
Whether it’s taking a few minutes to relax and unwind, or getting in some exercise, making time for yourself is crucial to maintaining your health and well-being.
Every day block 15 minutes or half an hour for yourself.
- Reflect on your thoughts
- Be grateful
- Write down the best thing you did on that day
- Create an improvement plan
- Sit simply and feel the breeze.
If you find yourself feeling stressed or overwhelmed, take a few minutes to yourself to do something you enjoy.
Whatever it is, make sure to take some time each day to focus on yourself.
2. Take a walk or do some light exercise
Walk along- Live long.
If you want to feel your mind and body energetic, you must invest in exercise.
I like to do Zumba. I am not a kind of weight lifter or gym person. I like to make it simple and effective. So it is easy to become a routine.
Start with an easy Zumba walk if you are like me. And enjoy working with your body.
We all know the benefits of walking. It’s the best!
Take a walk whenever you feel down. You don’t even need to feel down. Just walk as long as you wish.
3. Listen to music
Sometimes you need is music and peace!
Sit in a quiet place.
Put your speaker or headset on.
Play your favorite.
Close your eyes. It’s magical, right?

If you are a book lover you can relate to it. Otherwise, you can try audiobooks.
6. Listening to audiobooks
Jump into the new world unknowingly!
Even if you are not a book reader, You can experience your favorite genres.
If you practice it and make it a habit. You can do other stuff and listen to it.
If you don’t enjoy cleaning your room.
Play the audiobook- Listen to it- You will be wondered.
You don’t feel like you have done it. All you have done is listen.
Youtube and Spotify are the best free platforms to listen to almost everything- Affirmations, audiobooks, and so on.

Screen-free activities are not fun and boring? If you have thinking like that then you must try your never did to-do list.
On some other day, you have written or thought about doing that task.

You have forgotten or you are too lazy to do that task. It’s postponed to the next day. The next day. And today is the day to do it.
Yes, you have decided to quit your screen. So do that one thing that you thought while reading this.
Something that has been in your mind for so long. But you didn’t do it.
It might be simple, like
- Decluttering your wardrobe
- Donating unused things
- Organize all your paperwork.
- Grooming your dog
Choose a simple task that you can finish within that day. If any other task can be completed within an hour.
Choose that. Because only completion gives you utter satisfaction.
11. Spend time with friends and family
Remember they are waiting for you!
Sometimes we are more focused on making money or building our own careers. We feel exhausted when we are back.
But some people use that time to relax themselves watching tv and mindlessly scrolling. Its mind asking for instant gratification. But don’t fall for it.
Turn all your screen-off. It’s time for the family. Spending time with people you care about is what makes them happy.
Making time for your loved ones and spending time with them is important.
One way to do this is to get together for a meal. This can be a fun and easy way to spend time with your friends and family.
